"The
Mighty World Of Marvel" hits issue 12 this week. The Hulk frightens off the
Metal Master with the use of a plastic and cardboard gun impervious to his metal mind control, gaining a pardon from the government in the process. This sees the end of the original "The Incredible Hulk" 6 issue run, returning in Tales to Astonish #60 for more adventures. Spider-Man can not only leap across city sky-scrapers but also issue 5 of his original series, as he travels to the Everglades in search of The Lizard from issue 6. Spidey's missing adventure can be seen in the weeks to come, when we'll discover who the villain of the story is. Speaking of which, the
Fantastic Four face the return of two recent foes as they team-up to overpower our heroes in this story. I'm guessing that the editors didn't want to overload our young minds with multiple appearances of a character in two strips. Before we end, Sue exhibits a side of her personality that I was never happy with, poor Reed.
Special thanks to the uncredited artists who create the amazing splash pages of Marvel UK's weekly anthology titles. You are the reason these comics are so unique.
